I'm an eccentric nerd. I'm a philosopher and dreamer. I appreciate the aesthetic things in life, as well as the purely technical and logical.

I was born in Kiev Ukraine and immigrated to America when I was 10. I speak Russian and know a lot about Russian/Ukrainian culture. I love living in America. Its a great country. I like how its a huge melting pot of cultures and ideas. Food and music from all over the world. Its great.

I love reading books of all kinds. From political intrigue thrillers like Tom Clancy (RIP) novels to classics like Count of Monte Cristo and Sherlock Holmes.

I like history and politics. I love philosophy and psychology. I love to learn about different cultures and travel to different countries. I love to learn new things and try new things.

I love to design and create. Some people draw with a paintbrush, I draw with a calculator, wires, a soldering iron, a screwdriver, and my brain. I build all kinds of cool electronics gadgets, such as robots, giant machines that shoot lightning and play music with thunder, and etc. I am also part of the maker community and a member of a local hacker space and love to attend DIY maker conventions to learn from others and to share my own creations. I cannot live without creating and building something. I get along great with artists because we share the same passion for creating.

I recently graduated from University and got my Bachelors degree in Engineering. I'm working at an awesome family owned company and designing power control systems. I love every minute of it. I want to become the best engineer I can be and maybe someday work on spacecraft or aircraft design

I often hang out at my hackerspace club. We drink beer that we brew ourselves, we build cool gadgets together, joke around, show the gadgets off at maker fairs and shows. Its extremely fun. We have a very cool little community.

On weekends I read books, play the piano, watch TV, go to the conservatory and Bonsai society, take care of my plants, bike on the trails, play basketball, and hang out with friends.

I feel I got to the point in my life where I should start seeking a relationship. I still believe in the American dream (that is why my family immigrated here after all). Although material wealth and possessions are not my ultimate goal. My ultimate goal is knowledge of both the universe, and of God.

I came to realize recently that geeks are my people. I can't deny it. I have always been one. I connect with geeks instantly. We understand each other. So whoever my significant other will be, I have to admit there is a high chance she will be at least slightly geeky. And that is awesome.
